I have found something interesting for my shrimp - the Bamboo Charcoal and it serves 3 purposes:
1) Detoxify the water.
2) Create additional avenue for my shrimps to hide
3) Nutrients for the plants
I tied some Java Moss over the coal to give it a natural riverbank look.
